Frequently Asked Questions

Client FAQs

How many people can I expect to meet each year?

The size of the network is decided by you. Clients on average commit to meeting anywhere between 6-10 people per year.

How do you ensure the people I meet will be relevant?

We conduct a detailed onboarding meeting with you to get to know you, and to gain an in-depth understanding of your requirements. In addition, we ask you to complete a questionnaire and explain the type of skills and or transferable skills you need in your team, this helps clarify everything discussed in the onboarding meeting. We then build a network that meets your exact criteria.

How do I access my network?

You access your network through a third-party platform with a secure login. You can view talent profiles and download other documents through the portal. It holds all the information you will need so we don’t clog up your email inbox!

Do you help me to network?

Absolutely, we provide content on our platform that helps you to network and conduct career conversations effectively. We are also just an email or phone call away if you need to speak to us directly.

What does success look like?

Short-term success involves meeting the exact number of people you committed to meet when you signed up and ensuring you invest the appropriate amount of time and energy into those conversations. The medium to long-term benefits of building a diverse network are well documented in our marketing materials.

Do I have to pay a fee if I hire from my network?

No. You pay a fee to have your network built, cultivated and maintained. You can hire as many people as you want from the network with no additional charge from us.

Can I meet clients and suppliers through my network?

Of course. This is a great way to expand your network to include diverse clients and suppliers too. Diverse talent means diverse talent – talented professionals that have skills that can help you.

Which industries do you focus on?

We service clients and access talent across multiple industries. This is one of the main benefits of Diverse Talent Network, you get to meet people with transferable skills from different industries if you want to.

Which geographical areas do you cover?

We can build networks across the globe. Talent identification is easier than it ever was and talent networks don’t observe borders. Video technology has proven itself to be a very effective networking tool irrespective of physical location.

Can we sign up employees who don’t have any people management or hiring responsibility?

Yes, and we encourage it. Our service should appeal to business leaders and hiring executives, but we understand that some organisations will potentially want as many of their employees as possible to benefit from an expanded and diverse network of people.

Talent Acquisition do this so why should we use Diverse Talent Networks?

Talent Acquisition (TA) teams focus on hiring for your immediate requirements. More mature and better resourced TA functions might pipeline talent, but that’s very different from building and maintaining an active network. We also benefit from being independent of any company or industry and indeed any open vacancy or recruitment campaign, which allows us to access and engage more diverse talent.

Who identifies and contacts the diverse talent for each network?

Every network is ‘hand built’ and maintained by a member of the DTN team, with the same levels of due diligence and appropriately high standards as our Co-Founders. DTN employees are handpicked for their talent research and networking skills and (cross) sector knowledge.

Can I introduce anyone I meet through DTN to other colleagues or even others in my network outside of my company?

Of course, as long as you seek the appropriate permissions from the individual concerned and they are happy to be introduced onwards. It should look and feel no different to what you might do with other/existing members of your network.

We define Leaders in the broadest sense. We have an eclectic mix of senior People Leaders working for large organisations, change-making entrepreneurs, well-regarded thought leaders, subject matter experts and potential leaders of the future. When we say 'diverse' and 'inclusive' - we mean it!

If you think you fall into any of these groups (or anything in between) then we would love to hear from you.
